CCC hosts Association of Cedarbrook Camps' Conference

Last weekend, 11/10-13, Cascade Camp Cedarbrook had the wonderful opportunity to host the Association of Cedarbrook Camps' national conference here in Seattle. The conference was held at the Cedarbrook Lodge in Sea-Tac. (No, it wasn't named just for us!) Eighty-two members from across the nation, all whom serve at a Cedarbrook Camp. What a time of blessing and refreshing of our spirits as we joined together to serve Christ and strengthen our association.
Raven, Blue, Creeper, and Mrs. Magpie all participated in the Board member Training session held on Thursday, 11/10.
On Saturday we had the opportunity to show our visitors a glimpse of our city. Baldy, Kestrel, Raven, Creeper, Crane, Mrs. Magpie, Mr. Robin, Tangee, Blue, Teal, Buzzy, Chuk, Peregrine, Steller, Skuttle & Mr. Skuttle all graciously hosted out members to a variety of outings. The outings included a visit to Tacoma to the Glass Museum and Washington State History Museum, The Flight Museum at Boeing, the Pike Place Market & Seattle Waterfront, a trip to see the Space Needle, Bill Gates' home, and an Underground Tour of Seattle as well as leaving a personal "mark" on the bubblegum wall.
CCC was also able to lead worship on Saturday night. With the help of Cardinal we led a worship service with the theme "Keep Watch". This matches our national camp theme for 2012. What a blessed time to worship together.
All who participated in the conference enjoyed themselves, refreshed their spirit, made new friends and renewed new friendships, as well as learning how we can strengthen our ministry of camp.
