I just wanted to take a few minutes to tell you about our 2012 Camp Mission Project -- Children of the Nations.
Children of the Nations is a non-profit group that was developed to help destitute children aroun the world. It was started by a husband and wife team when they were missionaries in Africa and they came upon orphaned/refugee children who were in dire need of assistance. After much searching they found that there was actually no organization whose single mission was to provide for these children. Therefore Children of the Nations was born.
Through this mission, children from areas all over the world are helped, including children living here in the USA. There are many ways to help.
One of the ways we can help is by raising money that the organization can then use to help sponsor children, sponsor children's homes that they've developed, and provide literature to children about our loving Savior Jesus Christ. Other ways that we can help are by collecting resources from the list below.
You and your camper will have the opportunity to help support our mission project this year by contributing money towards the cause or by bringing 1 or 2 or more items from the list below. We will have a collection bin at the registration table to collect your donations.
